They seem to do that a lot. Out where I deliver pizzas they hang around and get busy when the sun goes down. Then they act very irritated when I walk by.
Not that I want to disturb them. If they do it so close to the driveway, it's their own damn fault, I reckon.
Upon reading this I started laughing and then coughing (I'm in the middle of having a vicious cold) and couldn't stop. It hurt but it was worth it. Now I'm off to make some tea to help it feel better. Til day two...
If you guys are going to be in or near Perth, find out if Nathan Gaunt is playing anywhere. He's a guitar-playing singer-songwriter with an insanely beautiful voice and so much guitar talent packed into him he's going to explode. Oh, and he'll happily have a Whiskey-and-Dry with you afterwards.
I know Tampa isn't in Oz, ah hell, we don't even have roos to see fucking...Maybe you'll get lucky and see two wonderful people fucking instead...No..still not as good. I tried. Love the fuzzy cat hat.
If you're after good Australian beer, try Coopers Pale, or James Squire Amber Ale, or anything from the Matilda Bay breweries, but especially Beez Neez. Mmm, honey malt beer.
(Or if cocktails are your thing, Polly on Brunswick Street is the bestest place ever. You'd fucking love it...)
I wish there wasn't a hint of desperation in this comment, but alas, it's overflowing.
As a long time lover/supporter of the Dresden Dolls, and resident of Plano, Texas, one of the biggest dreams that I've created for myself is to actually see you guys in concert. It looks like your next tour dates are nowhere even near Texas.
With consideration, visiting Dallas would make a kid's Christmas pretty sweet :)
Amanda! You were fucking great at the tent on Wednesday night! Hearing you sing live was one of the best things I've ever seen (or heard) and your pisstake of Umbrella made me laugh hysterically and clap my hands the entire way through. And Half Jack? Sooo good. Can't wait for the new album, either.
Er, sorry again for shamelessly fangirling all over you, but I was just so excited... (And thank you so much for leaving a voicemail for my friend Skits!)
You fucking rock. Hope you've had an awesome time in Australia!

PS: I read the last blog as well before posting, but had nothing to say.
I just have nothing to say lately.
Is it cool watching kangoroos fucking?
I really can't imagine them.
That is RAD!!! The eptiome of National Geographic in person. I hope I may one day top that.
I've never even seen that. Woah, that's a totally fucked mental image.
Er. Welcome to Australia, then. *grin*
I was going past the Speigeltent today on the tram and I wondered if you'd gone and hugged it.

This was the first thing I read before heading out the door this morning. Better than coffee, people.
Also known as, "You know you're in Australia when..."

amanda,
completely unrelated, but i thought you would find this article framing art in context rather interesting:
http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2007/04/04/AR2007040401721.html?hpid=topnews
if you can't see the whole link, the article is Pearls Before Breakfast from April 8, 2007 on the Post.

omg, did they sing?
I'm seeing you tommorow.
I DEMAND HUGS!
I've never seen them fucking but I did try to stop two fighting when I was about eight. Mum apprehended me before I got to them though.
I retrospect I am glad she did; kangaroos are hard bastards.
By the way I'm the one with the sign at the Factory Theatre; you're a good kisser, Amanda. Made my day. Actually, you made my year.
Thanks for the best gig (and snog) ever.
you are so honest and you seem to bear anything and everything personal on such a public medium.
I think I want to be you when I grow up.
have you ever seen the amazing bbc television show "look around you" ?
all i can say to that is
"thanks kangaroos. thangaroos."
heh. i've lived here my whole life, and never had the dubious pleasure of seeing kangaroos fucking.
Merry Christmas Amanda!
lol heyy, i just found this, glorious. Glorious.
Was "Good Times" by Chic playing?
